Brian Ratcliffe (Nutrition Society Spokesman)

"The EU is saying that this (water) does not reduce the risk of dehydration and that is correct."

- Commenting on the European Union, European Food Safety Authority, announcement that bottled water companies can't claim 'water prevents dehydration.'

I'm feeling a little lazy after the Thanksgiving break, so I'll let some others do the commenting for me.

"Liberalism is a mental disorder." - Michael Savage

"This is stupidity writ large. The euro is burning, the EU is falling apart and yet here they are worrying about the obvious qualities of water. If ever there were an episode which demonstrates the folly of the great European project, then this is it." - Roger Helmer (Member of the European Parliament)

"I had to read this four or five times before I believed it...It is a perfect example of what Brussels does best. Spend three years, with 20 separate pieces of correspondence before summoning 21 professors to Parma, where they decide with great solemnity that drinking water cannot be sold as a way to combat dehydration." - Paul Nuttall (MEP)

"Liberalism is the destruction and bastardization of common sense." - Rush Limbaugh

I couldn't have said it any better than these four.

Pero's On Thanksgiving Break

Have a great Thanksgiving.  I'll return on November 28th...During this time (and anytime), visit The Right is Right for some special Thanksgiving posts.

Dutch Medical Association (Mengele Wannabes)

"Many older people have various afflictions that are not actually life-threatening but do make them vulnerable...Vulnerability stems not only from health problems and the ensuing limitations, but also the measure in which people have social skills, financial resources and a social network.  Vulnerability has an impact on quality of life and on prospects for recovery, and can lead to unbearable and lasting suffering."

- Portion of a 10-year study on expanding euthanasia for the elderly in the Netherlands.

Wanna know what makes these old-folks most "vulnerable"?  People who want to kill them off because they are too expensive to keep around, or are simply a pain in the rear to care for...Come to think of it, "vulnerable" might not be the best term.  'Vulture-nable' is more like it - with a bunch of 'vultures' hovering over waiting for them to die.

"The whole assisted suicide euthanasia issue is a symptom, not a cause...I think it's a symptom of a society that has decided that it can't establish moral standards." - Wesley Smith (American bioethicist)

Etan Thomas (NBA Multi-Millionairre)

"A few friends of mine told me that although they appreciate my support for the Occupy Wall Street movement, I would never be considered part of the 99 percent (they made the distinction that I was more like the 5 percent).  My question is, if an Occupy the NBA were to happen, would the players be lumped in with the 1 percent because of million-dollar salaries?"

- Trying to compare himself and his NBA pals to the so-called 99%.

It was bad enough when NBA players were popping off that they were like former slaves, and how this putz finds the need to claim he's a 99%'er...Dude's made around $44 million in his 9-year NBA career.  More than I, or most Americans, could make in multiple lifetimes.

$44,000,000 makes you a 1%'er, dumbass!  Quit trying to spin it.

That said, I'm so glad to see the NBA in shambles.  Basketball is a great game, and NBA players are some of the most insanely gifted athletes in the world, but the NBA game sucks...Here's hoping it never comes back, though I know it will.  So, I'm stuck with the hope enough damage is done that the player and owners figure out a way to make the game more watchable.  It may never be as good as college basketball, but this 'lost year' is an opportunity to make it much better than it has become.

And maybe it'll do a little to humble the spoiled brats who play in 'the Association'.

Mayor Gayle McLaughlin (D - Richmond, California)

"I choose to honor our veterans, not only on Veteran’s Day, but daily, but supporting an end to military warfare to prevent further fighting and dying in needless wars...I am a strong supporter of Veterans for Peace and Iraq Vets Against the War."

- Explaning why she skipped this year's Veteran's Day celebration.

A couple things you shouldn't be surprised by:
1.  She's a Democrat.
2.  She chose to attend the local 'Occupy' event instead...A much more logical choice for a Democrat who is honest about being a Liberal.

"I think it’s disgraceful.  This is not a war issue. This is an issue of honoring people who sign up to protect your rights...It’s disrespectful...Just because you’re in politics doesn’t mean everything is political. There are some things that transcend politics and this is one of them. Regardless of your feelings about America’s involvement in Iraq or Afghanistan, you have to respect the troops." - Jeff Rubin

Unfortunately, when it comes to most Liberals "everything is political."  And their disgust for our current wars isn't about these particular wars...Their disgust is with the military itself.

Which is why I actually hold this mayor in higher regard than most of her Democrat peers:  She didn't even bother taking part in the hypocritical charade.

NO WAY!

There is no way I'm going to disgrace Veteran's Day with a sickening Libby Quote!

Barack Obama (El Perfecto)

"I believe all the choices we've made have been the right ones."

Let's be honest, every President makes mistakes. It's an impossible job, and no one is ever going to come into it fully prepared for the task at hand...Also, no President is going to give a list of the mistakes he's made. When asked about their performance, they usually hem-and-haw about how they are doing, or did, their best, and show a certain amount of graciousness, humility and common sense about the unimaginable tasks on the President's plate.  They let time and history sort out how they are judged.

That is, every President until Barack 'The Magnificent' Obama.

Not only does he refuse to even contemplate that he's made mistakes, but he's such a narcissist he truly believes he hasn't made any. He isn't even capable of accepting the possibility in his mind.

It's a lie which can only be believed by the person who states it, and it's a character flaw that makes him irresponsible (because he's only responsible to the perfection that is himself), as well as dangerous to the country (because he doesn't care what others think or want; he's the ultimate authority on everything and everyone else is below his perfection).

In other words, he's the perfect definition of a modern Liberal.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (FORMER Speaker of the House)

"They're small. I couldn't speak to all 1,800 of them, but some of the lists that I have seen have been very, very small companies. They will not have a big impact on the economy of our country."

- Talking about the "very small companies" with little "impact on the economy" which are currently exempt from ObamaCare mandates.

You know, the "very small companies" with very small 'economic impacts' like McDonald's!!!  And lets not forget 40% of these waivers have also went to unions.  Unions who were very much in favor of the creation of ObamaCare.

“The fact that over 1,000 waivers have been granted is a tacit admission that the healthcare law is fundamentally flawed.” - Rep. Fred Upton (R-Michigan)

How about this for another fundamental flaw:  New Jersey, Florida, Ohio and Tennessee are exempt from ObamaCare...I suppose Nancy will try to tell us these are 'very small states' with hardly any "impact on the economy of our country," as well.

And maybe Nancy traded in the Speaker's gavel for a crack-pipe.
