25th Anniversary

“We were just kids when we fell in love...” - Ed Sheeran

Other than the days of my birth and future death, August 1, 1992 is the most consequential day of my life.  It is the day I married Melissa.  It is the day I devoted myself entirely to another person...A person who has proven worthy of my devotion.  A person I can not imagine living a single day without.

She came into my life out of nowhere; both of us visiting Phoenix while on Christmas vacation - A true chance meeting...She was a young lady with no desire to be in a relationship.  I was a maniac boy, who a year after heartbreak never thought he'd find love again.
I know my friends and family thought I was out of my mind when I gave up everything I had and knew to be with her.  I have no doubt Melissa's friends and family thought likewise of her...They may have been right.  We were so young.  But we knew what we wanted - each other.  We weren't afraid.
Like all relationships, ours has had ups and downs.  Unlike many relationships, we have made it one of our life goals to fight just as hard to make it though the downs as much as we have enjoyed the ups...We were both lucky to have found a partner who made marriage a highest priority.  One worth fighting for and never giving up on.
Very proud of the Middle Class life we have created - especially considering what we started with...We both work hard and push ourselves to succeed, but we're aware of how lucky we have been.  This last decade has been brutal on many Americans and we are very thankful to have escaped much of the pain.
Evolving with each passing year, our family has grown from us two to us four - with our amazing girls.  And we look forward to the days when we become five, six, seven, etc. (with grandchildren)...Just not too soon ;)
Ready and faithful = "Promptus et Fidelis"

Like everyone else, Melissa isn't perfect...But, she is perfect for me!

DUNKIRK

Let's sit back and imagine Pero magically received the power to take over every loudspeaker at every high school and university in America.

And let's imagine Pero simply said one word over this loudspeaker - a loudspeaker every high school and university student in America would hear...Let's imagine that one word Pero said over that loudspeaker was DUNKIRK!!

Incredibly, pathetically, I'm betting less than 5% of the students at these schools - even at our finest high schools and universities - would have any idea about the importance of this single word:  Dunkirk!

Yes, I saw the movie Dunkirk this weekend.  And yes, I recommend it for everyone - especially for those who understand the event's significance...Its direction is a little quirky, but it is an amazing story - a story EVERYONE LIVING IN FREEDOM SHOULD KNOW!!!

It is easy in our time, 70-years after WWII, to say:  'There is no way the Germans (and Japanese) could have conquered the world.  There is no way they could defeat all of Europe and Asia, the Soviet Union and the United States.'

It's important to know, at the time of Operation Dynamo (the British evacuation of Dunkirk), that Europe was all but subdued by the Germans.  The French were almost done, and the rest of Europe had either been overrun, was a German ally - including the Soviets - or was pretending to be 'neutral.'  The German monster had crushed everything in it's path, and most thought there was nothing which could stop them.

There was one small island nation that continued to fight:  The United Kingdom - ALONE!

It's also important to remember what the Germans had in mind for all of the Eurasian landmass:  An erasing of historical defects...They weren't going to just eliminate the Jews, Slavs, Roma, etc.  In the process of creating the 1000 Year Reich, they were going to eliminate all of the non-Germans; through a policy of simple extermination and by working them to death for the production of German food and materiel.

The Japanese had similar plans in the East.

The Brits didn't defeat the Germans; surely not at Dunkirk.  What happened at Dunkirk was the Brits were able to save over 300,000 Allied troops (primarily Brit and French), ferrying them from sure destruction on the beaches of France back to the British Islands...Oh, and in large part this evacuation was performed by civilian and merchant marine vessels.

Yes, small little luxury liners and commercial boats, with no protection from German air and submarine attacks.

These 300,000 troops were put back into action in short time, during the battle of Britain and throughout the various African and Middle Eastern campaigns, but this wasn't the most important thing about the Dunkirk evacuation.  The most important thing about Dunkirk was it gave the British people HOPE!

This is why every person in the world who lives in freedom should know about Dunkirk...Because the hope generated from the evacuation kept the Brits in the fight.

The Brits staying in the fight forced the Germans into many mistakes, including in North Africa, the Balkans, and its biggest mistake:  invading Russia before it had finished everyone else off...And most important, the Brits stayed in the fight long enough for Germany's ally, Japan, to draw the Americans into the war.

This was the genius of the British continuing to fight Germany:  They fought just long enough for the U.S. and USSR to enter the war against Germany...A game-changer.  A reality the Germans had almost no chance of overcoming.

So, please go watch the movie.  And if nothing else, I hope from this point forward, when you hear the word DUNKIRK you understand the importance of that word.

PRAGER UNIVERSITY: American Indians Are Still Getting a Raw Deal

"We teach what isn’t taught." - Dennis Prager

This semester of Prager University is presented by:  Naomi Schaefer Riley

"Did you know Indians have the highest rates of poverty of any racial group in America?  Did you know that alcoholism is more common among Indian youths than among youths in any other ethnic group?  Did you know that the rate of child abuse among Indians is twice as high as the national average?...[I]nadequate funding isn't the problem.  The billions of dollars that the federal government spends on Indians every year hasn't made their lives better...[O]ther than Indians, the only people who have things held in trust for them are children and the mentally incompetent.  Can anything better illustrate the low regard the government has for American Indians?" – N.S.R.

"History has been cruel to the American Indians (as it has been with almost all ancient cultures - Hittites, Scythians, Phrygians, Celts, etc., etc., etc.), but there's no returning to the 'old ways.'  The sooner they ditch the 'rez' and join the modern-world the better off they will be.  I have no doubt they can compete with everyone else.  They just need to give it a go." – Poison Pero

Trump's Been Prez For About Half-a-Year...How You Hanging in There?

I know a lot of people who voted for Donald Trump - or against Hillary Clinton - are suffering from serious fatigue.  I have to admit, there are times when I do, too.

The constant scandal-scare-mongering about Trump from the media is overwhelming...But don't you think if they 'had him,' they'd already have gotten rid of him?

The constant linking of Team Trump to the Russians freaks everyone out, especially someone like myself who grew up in the heat of the Cold War...But don't you think if there was some 'there there' he'd already be gone?  Truth is, I have no doubt Trump and his team got info from everyone everywhere - just like everyone always does.  The difference is his team wasn't a professional political organization, and wasn't a master at the game - definitely nowhere near the pros Obama or the Clintons are.

Some of you probably wonder how Trump can survive when even many of his fellow Republicans don't like him...Uh, if you were paying attention you had to know they hated him before he was even nominated, let alone after he won the election.  The best part is he hates them as well.  Don't forget, from the time he came down the elevator and put the world on notice that he was running, he ran first against the shitheads with (R) behind their names.

I know many of you don't think he's 'professional' or he's not 'presidential.'  Get over it.  We are in a period of cultural and political warfare - a nonviolent civil war (more or less nonviolent, but getting worse), and more than anything I want a fighter.  I'd take General Grant over General McClellan any day!

If you don't get the reference:  Grant was a drunk ruffian, but he won the U.S. Civil War.  McClellan was a perfect gentleman who was afraid to put his troops in battle, and we might still be fighting the Civil War had Lincoln not canned him.

Trump is not perfect, but he is a fighter.  He doesn't start the fights, but he is the perfect counter-puncher...And he doesn't mind hitting below the belt if the situation calls for it.  Which unfortunately is all the time.

"If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun." - President Barack Obama

In the past, Republicans haven't even brought a knife...They preferred to stand on 'principles' and 'standards - And seemed to enjoy LOSING!!!

Trump doesn't like losing, and the most  important thing is to keep an eye on his policy wins - wins which would be impossible if Hillary was Prez.  And please don't kid yourself that any of the other Republicans could have beaten her, because they wouldn't.

Illegal immigration is down and most important we haven't been hit by a terror attack at home on Trump's watch.  He may be pissing off the Euros, but they are starting to realize they have to carry their own weight in NATO.  ISIS isn't dead (and may never be), but it is no longer a functional state.  The NorK's continue to play games, but they are very aware they aren't dealing with Obama any more.  Economy crushing regulations are being tossed in the trash every day.  America's energy producing potential is being tapped with Trump's blessing.  Hundreds of federal court positions are in the process of being filled by Conservatives - including Gorsuch at the SCOTUS, and hopefully some more in that top court in the near future, etc, etc, etc.

That said, I hope you will take 5-minutes and read Schlichter's article...It's an easy read, and puts a lot of things in perspective.

It’s all about liberals retaking power and trying to make sure we normals never get a say in our own governance again. Make no mistake, there are plenty of nominal Republicans who would be happy for that to happen...None of this is about right and wrong. It's about power - their power, and ensuring we have none.

By:  Kurt Schlichter

Nobody's getting arrested, nobody’s getting impeached. You liberals suck and you're going to lose. Again.

Oh, and Trump also isn't Hitler!  For heaven's sake, the Left has been beating this stupid drum since November 8, 2016...Not because he's so horrible, but because he had the gall to beat their Queen.

Never forget these same Liberal maggots also said Bush was Hitler.  So was McCain.  So was Romney.  And so would have been any Republican who became President...KEEP THIS IN MIND EVERY TIME YOU HEAR HOW BAD TRUMP IS.

President Trump is a different bird, but he is much closer to a normal guy than any other politico or media mouthpiece.  They hate him for this.  They hate him because he's not them - HE IS CLOSER TO US!!!...They will do anything they can to tarnish him, because THEY HATE US!!

Just keep your eye on the scoreboard, and count WINS - big or small...Don't watch the MSM, and don't fixate on Trump's Tweets.  Just do a simple +/- ledger and watch all the good that comes about under Trump and remember NONE of it would have happened if he wasn't there...If nothing else, that makes this last six months a success!
