Mayor Gayle McLaughlin (D - Richmond, California)

"I choose to honor our veterans, not only on Veteran’s Day, but daily, but supporting an end to military warfare to prevent further fighting and dying in needless wars...I am a strong supporter of Veterans for Peace and Iraq Vets Against the War."

- Explaning why she skipped this year's Veteran's Day celebration.

A couple things you shouldn't be surprised by:
1.  She's a Democrat.
2.  She chose to attend the local 'Occupy' event instead...A much more logical choice for a Democrat who is honest about being a Liberal.

Unfortunately, when it comes to most Liberals "everything is political."  And their disgust for our current wars isn't about these particular wars...Their disgust is with the military itself.

Which is why I actually hold this mayor in higher regard than most of her Democrat peers:  She didn't even bother taking part in the hypocritical charade.
