I will stand with Paris, if...

...if they will stand with us in the Battle of Civilizations.

President Hollande sounds like President Bush after 9/11/11...Before 'Make them Pay' Bush became 'Bring Western Democracy and Ideals to Barbarian-istan' Bush.

I have no doubt the French will do some kind of one-off, pay back for these killers.  THIS I DO NOT SUPPORT!

I will not support this, because it's a waste of time and energy.  It will accomplish nothing.

I will happily stand with France if they wish to truly enter the Battle of Civilizations; if they are in it for the long haul - FOR REAL!  But are they truly going to do this?  I doubt it.  I also doubt President Obama is willing to lead it - at least in the manner it must be lead.

There is only one way to fight this battle effectively - effectively as in completely destroying the Islamic State and Al Qaeda (everywhere across the globe), and sending a message to the entire Jihadi world that the civilized world is done with them and will kill everyone who pursues and supports radical Islam.  This threat and promise needs to include nation-states:  Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.  It also needs to be made against radical Muslims currently living in the West - including its citizens.  They need to be hunted down and killed; in the U.S., in France, in Britain.  Everywhere.

Oh, and this 'Punitive Coalition of Modernity' must include Russia and a de-wussified Germany (the entire EU for that matter)...And if China is smart they should want in as well - to send a message to their vast Muslim population in western China.

To be clear, the modern world (notice I did not say the Western world, nor the democratic world, nor the liberal world, nor the 'nice' world, etc.) must crush radical Islam like a Whack-a-Mole wherever it pops its head up.  It needs to do this in an offensive matter - going after them constantly, relentlessly and ruthlessly - EVERYWHERE, WITH OR WITHOUT PERMISSION!

Also, this anti-Jihad force needs to have no pretensions of creating democracy in Islamic lands.  It's never going to happen; not any kind of democracy we understand...These people don't understand Western democracy and liberal ideals.  They understand one thing:  PURE POWER.

Pure power with an agreement:  Continue to mess with the modern world and you will die.  Live in peace with the modern world and you can live as you will in your lands (including all the barbaric stuff you seem to love)...We can all prosper together if you behave - and you can continue to 'enjoy' your 7th Century culture.

Will any of this happen?   Probably not, because Obama won't lead it and the other countries will choose to do short-term, small-scale strikes.  Strikes which will have little effect other than to inflame rather than destroy and deter the Jihadis.

As a result, the Battle of Civilizations will get no closer to completion, and the modern world will continue to take hits like it did Friday in Paris...We will continue to die, we will cry, and no good or end will come of it.
