2009 Liberal Jackass Quotes of the Year - #9

Sen. Arlen SpectWHORE (D - Pennsylvania)

"I'm staying a Republican because I think I have a more important role to play there. I think the United States very desperately needs a two-party system...I think each of the 41 Republican senators, in a sense - and I don't want to overstate this - is a national asset...because if one was gone, you'd only have 40, the Democrats would have 60, and they would control all of the mechanisms of government." (March 2009)

"I have decided to run for reelection in 2010 in the Democratic primary...I will not be an automatic 60th vote for cloture." (April 28, 2009)

**SpectWHORE knew he was going to lose in the 2010 Republican primary to Pat Toomey. This is the reason SpectWHORE changed parties, not because he's a moderate, a Liberal or any other reason...Don't forget SpectWHORE was a Democrat prior to switching to the Republican Party, and he only did so because he knew it was necessary to win his Senate seat.

Arlen is a WHORE, nothing more, nothing less. Whatever it takes to stay in power. Whatever it takes to get more power, which I'm sure the Democrats will offer plenty of if he plays ball...If SpectWHORE will be the "automatic 60th vote" he will be able to write his own ticket to whatever he wants from the Democrats.

The country voted for the Triumvirate-from-Hell, and they are going to get it in every sense. The Republicans have no say in the House, and now the Democrats have the 60 votes it takes to pass cloture on anything they want. Obviously, 'The Messiah' is hanging around ready to sign anything the Democrats want...So, how bad is it?

"I am very, very disappointed. It means there will be no more checks and balances on Democratic control." - Sen. Susan Collins (One of the most Liberal Republicans even knows this is disastrous.)**
