- Comment made after the Berkeley City Council voted the Marines are “not wanted in the city, and if recruiters choose to stay, they are doing so as uninvited and as unwelcome intruders.”

**Berkeley is a disgrace. It’s not only one of the most Liberal cities in America, it is one of the most un-American as well…..Crazy how those two seem to go together, isn’t it?

The U.S. Marines belong in every American city. They are the defenders of our freedom, and are a symbol of everything great in our nation.

But if the Berzerkelyites don’t want the Marines in their city they shouldn’t have to have them. That said, the federal government shouldn’t send federal funds to a city it can’t send Marine recruiters to……..This is exactly what Sen. Jim DeMint (R – South Carolina) is proposing.

I’m sure the Democrats will squash this idea, however, considering the clowns in Berkeley are their core constituency.**
