This kind of competition hardly constitutes a sport - the days of gladiator fights are over and we should not be looking to resurrect them. As doctors we cannot stand by while violent fighting tournaments are allowed to take place. Large amounts of money can be earned by participants, promoters and others linked to ultimate fighting, but no amount of money can compensate for permanent brain damage and premature death. As a civilized society we should be campaigning to outlaw these activities."

**Hey Vivienne, no one is making these guys fight. They generally do it because they love to brawl, and if they weren’t doing so in cages and rings they’d do it in the streets………..Likely, beating the shit out of average Joe’s who aren’t of the same physical or mental makeup. In other words, they’d be beating the hell out of weaklings like Vivienne.

Mixed Martial Arts is a beautiful sport, and one I favor over all others except the NFL (she’s probably against this violent sport as well). I’m sure this makes me a barbarian….It’s not shocking a Euro doesn’t like it, though. Especially a Euro from the so called ‘intelligencia.’ These wuss-bags are clueless when it comes to rank and file society.

That said, for some reason I bet Viv has no problem with a truly “violent” action, which causes “premature death”: ABORTION.**
