Gov. Bev Perdue (D - North Carolina)

"You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things. I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. The one good thing about Raleigh is that for so many years we worked across party lines. It's a little bit more contentious now but it's not impossible to try to do what's right in this state. You want people who don't worry about the next election."

WRONG!  WRONG!  WRONG!  WRONG!  You absolutely want the members of Congress to have to "worry about the next election."

The Constitution was set up for the people to pass judgement on their elected officials every couple years for a very specific reason:  To keep the idiots in Congress from running amok.  To keep them at the will of the people, instead of doing whatever craziness they want.

Even the 'well intentioned' stuff they pass for us ordinary simpletons...You know, stuff like "pass(ing) the bill so you can find out what is in it." - Commissar Nancy

How about this for a Democrat pipe dream:  Lets suspend Presidential elections, revert to the Congress of 2008-2010, and declare martial law...Sounds nuts, right?  Like I said, it's a Democrat pipe dream.

The Democrats already know from current polling data that they are in for worse losses in 2012 than they suffered in 2010. I guarantee you she (Perdue) has heard other Dems voicing their desire for suspended elections in 2012 in order to stave off mass losses. Of course, she's too stupid to keep her mouth shut about it though.
