Mary Texeira (Professor at Cal State San Bernardino )
"Ebonics is a different language; it's not slang as many believe. For many of these students, Ebonics is their language and it should be considered a foreign language. These students should be taught like other students who speak a foreign language."
-- Regarding the San Bernardino City Unified School District has plans to incorporate "Ebonics" into the curriculum to provide amore "well-rounded" education. It is known as the Students Accumulating New Knowledge Optimizing Future Accomplishment Initiative
**How unbeleivable is it that any educator would want to teach American children how to talk like illiterate shit-heads? --> Unless, of course, the goal isn't education, but propaganda, perversion and 'dumbing down'.**

These people are not really concerned with educating people...they are only concerned with getting their names and views heard and publicity for themselves. They also want to shock those with opposing views. They use their credentials as professor as a bully pulpit to spread their crap and usually this gives them the power to get this junk put into curriculums as legitimate. As a teacher, I fight this BS all the time. He is wrong on all counts. We are in America and success here depends on reading, writing an speaking ENGLISH well!! Ebonics is a bastardization of English and needs to be corrected out of the language base, not taught and encouraged!!
