David Fabrizio (Principal of Ipswich Middle School)

"The Honors Night, which can be a great sense of pride for the recipients' families, can also be devastating to a child who has worked extremely hard in a difficult class but who, despite growth, has not been able to maintain a high grade-point average."

- Ipswich is a school in Massachusetts.

This is sick!  Little wonder modern 'children'-'teens'-'young adults' have a hard time getting on in life.

Sure the economy sucks and life is hard, but that's not the problem.  The problem is too many of these kids are turds.  Turds who have been coddled and told how important they are.  Turds who have been sheltered from the hardships of life, and told competition is unfair.  Turd boys who've been taught they don't need to become men, and turd girls who've been taught they don't need men...Turds who will be crushed by life when the real world bitch-slaps their sorry ass after they finally move away from their parents - because they haven't been taught to compete or defend themselves, and to strive to achieve.

I guess I should say if they move away.

But hey, at least they have high self-esteem.  Good for them.

In case you think I don't get it and am being overly harsh:  I have a 19-year old who will be leaving home soon.  Hopefully :)

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter
to be really something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I'll try to get the hang of it!
