The Center For American Progress(ives)

"The volume outlines the complex pressures exerted by the effects of climate change on the convulsions which swept through the Middle East in 2010 and 2011, exploring the long-term trends in precipitation, agriculture, food prices, and migration which contributed to the social instability and violence which has transformed the region." - CAP (An upcoming panel on why Global Warming led to the Arab Spring)

"Is it higher?  Yes.  Last year, we hit a record number of murders from guns, and this year, we were already outpacing last year's numbers.  Now, there are contributing factors that are not under anybody's control, and it may seem odd, but it is factually true, one of them is actually the weather.  There is a dramatic increase in gun violence when it is warmer, and we are having this climate-change effect that is driving that."Christie Hefner (CAP, explaining why the homicide rate in Chicago is going up)

Call me crazy, but these 'Climate Changers' seem to be able to blame anything and everything on warming, cooling, or whatever variable they want use to forward their agenda(s)...And they also seem awfully free with claiming things are "factually true."  As if simply saying so makes it so.  Which is exactly what they expect us 'common folk' to believe - because they are soooooooooo smart, and we are soooooooooo 'ignant'.

Let's look at these two statements in a different way:
1.  Could it be the Middle East, which has been a perpetual basket case - and hardly a breadbasket - went up in flames because the region is tired of the dictators who've brutally ruled them for decades?  They've had enough, and want change.  Even if the change they ultimately get may be worse than what they had.

2.  Crime rates across the U.S. have been going down over the last 20-years - the years the EnviroWhackos claim have been the 'hottest in the history of ever'.  Also, it's pretty safe to bet climate change isn't working faster in dumps like Chicago any more than the rest of the country, so why is Chicago constantly re-writing its record books for crime?

"It's probably a million times more worthwhile to discuss Chicago's policies and culture more than random wildcard talking points that help to skirt the real issues." - Ericka Johnsen

Exactly, and the same applies in the Middle East.
