“After publication of the 13th edition of The Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World it became apparent that we had not represented the permanent ice cover in Greenland fully and clearly. In failing to do that, this section of the map did not meet the usual high standards of accuracy and reliability that the atlas strives to uphold. To correct this, we decided to produce a new, more detailed map using the latest information available.”
Not only did they put an incorrect picture representation of Greenland, which showed huge swaths of the landmass green instead of ice covered, but they also added a false statement as well:
“For the first time the new edition has had to erase 15 percent of Greenland’s permanent ice cover – turning an area the size of the UK and Ireland ‘green’ and ice-free.”
In other words: 'Oops. We're sorry, we didn't think anyone would notice our attempt to drastically lie about the spread of Global Warming. We're truly sorry - for getting caught.'
If they were being honest they'd extend their apology to say: 'Next time we'll be more discreet and careful about spreading our propaganda.'
Just another reason to always be skeptical about what you see and read...Especially from those who claim their evidence is 'indisputable' or 'concrete', but can't prove it.
