PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals)
"Take a progressive step and give animals the respect that they deserve by revising AP style guidelines to reflect the usage of personal pronouns for all animals."
- A campaign asking "The Associated Press Stylebook" to start referring to animals as human, with human names.
**Personally, I have no problem referring to baby kangaroos, wallaby, wombat, koala or opossum as Joey, a goat as Billy, a pronghorn as Fawn, or a horse, zebra and donkey as Colt, but anything other than these is pure crazyiness........Which is why it makes perfect sense to the clowns at PETA.
Speaking of clowns and PETA, I can hardly wait for the circus to come to town.**

While I can't stand PETA and their hypocrisy, they're referring to PRO-nouns, i.e. "he" or "she" as opposed to "it", not PROPER nouns like Fred, Larry, or Sarah.
I'm not sure what the big deals is: I don't know anyone who refers to their pets as "it". Given that over 95% of pet owners consider pets as family members, this kind of crap from PETA is pretty much useless.

Thanks for the reminder, Henry.....I read it too fast, and assumed "proper" nouns.
Either way, they are nuts, and animals should be referred to as animals.
