- Complaining about a statue memorializing Navy Seal Danny Dietz (killed in Afghaninstan) in uniform with his weapon, which is planned to be placed near a Littleton middle school........The school is not a random selection, it is where Dietz went to school. The statue is not a random selection, either, it is a copy of the last picture taken of Dietz.
**I have so much to say about this quote, but I'm going to leave my comment to Dietz's mother:
"What do they want us to do, stick it (the statue) in a corner somewhere? It's about a hero. It's not about war, and it's definitely not about a gun." - Cindy Dietz
Here's hoping Littleton continues with its plans........Knowing the city and the new anti-gun push which will follow the Virginia Tech massacre, however, I have serious doubts about how this will end.**
