Damon Ramine (Spokesman for Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation)

"The real offense here was in the producer's decision to add insult to injury by turning a contestant's gender expression into the butt of a joke"…"We've spoken with Fox and have entered into what we hope will be a productive, ongoing conversation about the show's representation and discussion of sexual orientation and gender expression."

-- After Simon Cowell told a male contestant to "wear a dress" and Randy Jackson asked another, "are you a girl?"

**I saw both incidences (I admit to watching the show) and both questions were legitimate because the contestants were flaming Normos.......And neither of the judges said anything over the top. In fact, it almost seems as though the contestants were trying to illicit such a response.

My favorite part was the song to the "Crying Game" in the background after the ??-Chromosomer walked off the stage.

What I want to know is why is the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation discriminating against its fellow Normos by leaving them out of their name?.........It should be the "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Try-Sexual, Bestial, Necrophilia, Pedophilia Alliance Against Defamation.**

I don't watch the show, but I saw a clip of the one performer and I was surprised to find out he/she was a man, also. (Well, I mean at least, born with a penis. Whether it is a man is debatable) Surely didn't look like a man. I think it's a perfectly legitimate question.
