"You can be sure our soldiers in Iraq are not all brave heroes gladly risking their lives for us sitting comfortably back here at home."
**Why would Rooney want to run with this statement, which he stated in his commentary "Our Soldiers in Iraq Aren't Heroes."?? --> No wonder no one watches CBS News.
There is little doubt that some of our troops are ungrateful SOB's, but the other 99% are HEROS in every sense of the word.
As far as the 1% go: THEY ALL VOLUNTEERED! They all knew the risk, and if they weren't willing to do their duty they shouldn't have joined.
I've been there and trust me, every soldier is informed of the reality of possibly being in combat before they even get the opportunity to enlist**
