**WOW! I hope no one (other than Screwie Louis) is ignorant enough to believe any group of people lived peacefully anywhere in the Middle East (other then Israel, of course) prior to the U.S. invasion of Iraq.......Last I checked Saddam's regime was a tyranny, and the only reason there may have been a semblance of peace is because Saddam and his henchmen made sure to eliminate (behead, through the plastic shredder, bounce off buildings, etc.) anyone who dared to say Iraq was a basketcase-nation. By this same logic, it could be said that the regimes of Hitler and Stalin were peaceful in Germany and the U.S.S.R., as well.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw the Iraqi people dancing in the streets when Saddam was toppled.......It is up to these same 'dancers' to ensure their nation never returns to the madhouse that was Saddam's Iraq. They must earn their freedom and safety. Lucky for them, they have the most decent and generous nation in the history of the world helping them to accomplish their goals. Will they succeed? Only time will tell. But if they do not, it won't be due to lack of American support.

As long as the Democrats don't get control of the presidency, that is.**
