Sen. Robert "KKK" Byrd (D - West Virginia, 3rd In Line To The Presidency)

"Age does not affect me except in my legs"...."And I've got a head up here that hasn't changed one iota in the last 25-years."

**"Sheets" has been in the Senate since January 3, 1959; longer than some of our senators have been alive!!! This is a sickening fact, but lets return to the comment of the Grand Cyclops.

Less than 25-years ago (2001 in fact), Byrd was the last U.S. congressman to use the word "nigger" on the Senate floor, which caused a political firestorm (Including in his own party, not that they did anything to silence or replace him, which the Republicans would have done).........I'm sure he "hasn't changed one iota" since saying this any more than he has in the past 25-years, or the past 50-years for that matter.

How about another quote from Sen. KKK (regarding the integration of Blacks into the U.S. military: "Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels (American Blacks), a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds."

THIS IS THE MAN THE DEMOCRATS CALL "THE CONSCIENCE OF THE SENATE?" Nice party.**

Byrd has been apologizing and asking for forgiveness for being a memeber of the Klan for over 50 years now. And he never said the "n word" on teh senate floor. Get your facts straight.

If you don't trust this CNN link, do a simple Google search and you'll find plenty of others.

I'm sure you will try to make this right, but there's no denying he used the term on the floor.
