By his own logic, I haven't heard anything about the American Atheists doing much to help hurricane victims (or the NAACP for that matter except to guarantee 'equitable distribution of resources' to those affected)....however religious and church-lead groups such as the Southern Baptists (the nations 3rd largest relief agency) have been there from the start on the ground helping. For example, Soughern Baptist relief teams (my church sent one) has sent 260 units from churches all over the country and just for Katrina, they have worked 52,000 volunteer days, provided 4.5 million meals, and completed over 6000 individual jobs helping people in the disaster area.....ask THOSE people if God helps them and their answer would be a resounding YES!!! And this doesn't even take into account dozens of other faith-based relief groups....I would tell Mr Silverman where to go, but I am afraid he has a stamped paid ticket there already....

The real question to ask, is to ask the people in the Hurricane Zone if they beleive God helps them........I'm quite certain their answer would be a resounding "YES".
