Madeleine Halfbright (Former Sec. of State)

"I think this is a very hard choice, but the price - we think the price is worth it."

- Responding to a question asked by Leslie Stahl on "60 minutes" (May 12, 1996): "Is the death of a half million children in Iraq as a result of U.S. sanctions worth it"
- Listen to the interview
---------
“Let me just say this: I believe that the fact that Iraqi children are dying is not the fault of the United States, but of Saddam Hussein. And I think it is ridiculous for the United States to be blamed for the dictatorial and cruel, barbaric ways that Saddam Hussein treats his people ... So you can't lay that guilt trip on me. I mean I think it is Saddam –“

- Response to a May 1998 National Press Club question

**Sec. Halfbright was absolutely correct in her response to both questions.....But like the Liberal chameleon she is, she miraculously changed her stripes when it came to President Bush handling the problem.

She was willing to see 500,000 Iraqi's die under Clinton's order, but not to see less than 10,000 die in the process of ridding Iraq of the 'dictatorial, cruel, barbarian' Sodom.

Bombs with (D) = Good & Bombs with (R) = Bad ---> Starvation of hundreds of thousands with (D) is even better..........The real Liberal mantra.**
