Prager University: Game of Loans

"We teach what isn't taught." - Dennis Prager

I am a father of two daughters:  One who chose not to go to college, and one who has every intention of going to college...There is nothing I want more than for both of these wonderful young ladies to have happy, successful lives.

That said, I worry my oldest daughter will have fewer career options because she didn't go to college...But she has a huge advantage over many of her peers because she doesn't have massive student debt as an albatross around her neck.

Like most parents, I am hopeful my youngest daughter does go to college and graduates with a fantastic degree - which SHOULD give her an advantage when it comes to her career compared to most of her peers, and compared to her sister...But I am terrified at the thought of her entering her adult life with the student loan albatross around he her neck her sister doesn't have.  Oh, and she'll also have the mind-fuck of years of Liberal propaganda - at it's most extreme, but that's another issue for another day.

In this semester there are two things I hope you will keep in mind:
1.  Americans have $1.3 trillion in student loan debt - much of which is held by people who didn't even get a degree.
2.  Only 59% of students who enter a four-year college graduate.
3.  Far too many of those who do get a college degree, get one in a field which is useless - or worse!

This semester of Prager University is presented by: Charlie Kirk

"We are lending money we don't have, to kids who can't pay it back, to train them for jobs that no longer exist." - Mike Rove

"If students were going to college in record numbers to study engineering, or computer science, or biology, professions with high employment rates, maybe these crazy sums would make some sense.  Maybe.  But the most common majors are in the social sciences and communications...Not surprisingly, these majors have very high unemployment rates.  As in, they don't prepare you for a job." - C.K.
