2011 Liberal Jackass Quotes of the Year - #2
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D - Illinois)
"I hope the president continues to exercise extraordinary constitutional means, based on the history of Congresses that have been in rebellion in the past...I believe...in the direct hiring of 15 million unemployed Americans at $40,000 a head, some more than $40,000, some less than $40,000 - that’s a $600 billion stimulus. It could be a five-year program. For another $104 billion, we bailout all of the states...for another $100 billion, we bailout all of the cities."
There's a great plan. Barack Obama can spend $800 billion on his own, without any say from Congress...Screw Congress. He can just ramp up the printing presses at the Treasury Department and hand out jobs like water.
I have a question about these magical jobs: Is Jesse planning on ending them after a year? If not we're looking at '$600 billion x however many years' these new employees are paid, and that doesn't even include the benefit package they'd all 'need and deserve'...Funny how the numbers never quite add up as simply as they sound when these jokers throw out millions and billions like they're counting numbers.
Oh, and $200 billion to the cities and states would barely put a dent in the almost $3 TRILLION debt the states, cities and municipalities currently owe...Another small detail.
Finally, the $800 billion (or however many trillions it would really end up costing) wouldn't be worth the cost of the paper it's written on due to inflation, but who cares if we become Zimbabwe?
It would be cheaper for Obama to just execute half the working population and give the unemployed the jobs of the dead, which would be almost as Constitutional as Jesse's plan is.
Jr. may have out 'Jesse Jacksoned' Sr. with this moronic statement...OK, I take it back. Sr.'s still the biggest moron in the house. But Jr. is showing promise; especially with a runner-up showing in this year's Libby Quotes.
